About the TransForm-A-Blogger

A UK-based fan of TransFormers since they first came out in 1984, I got back into collecting when the Binaltech and Masterpiece lines came out for the 20th Anniversary. While I tend to prefer my Robots In Disguise to look mechanical rather than cartoonish or organic, I've grown fond of Beast Wars and Beast Machines thanks to their respective TV series, and Animated for its clever engineering.

I firmly believe that transforming robots are enough of a gimmick in and of themselves, so all the extras - spring-loaded weapons, electronic lights and sounds... the dreaded Mini-Cons - are superfluous, and frequently detrimental to the quality of the brand.

I'll probably never be the first person to review a figure but, equally, I won't lavish false praise on a mediocre toy.

Besides, we can't all be YouTubers.
